Where to get the file
Google Maps saved lists (works on your phone):
- Open takeout.google.com, tap Deselect all, then tick only Saved.
- Next step → Create export. Google emails you a link, usually within minutes.
- Tap the link in the email and download the .zip. On iPhone it goes to Files → Downloads.
- Choose that .zip above as it is, no need to unzip it, and pick the list.
Google My Maps: open the map, click ⋮ next to its title, choose Download KML, leave “Keep data up to date” unticked, and click OK. Either KML or KMZ works.
CSV: any spreadsheet saved as CSV with a name column and coordinates. You'll match the columns on the next step.
The file is read on this device. It isn't uploaded anywhere.
